This website provides substantial amounts of support and information on being an employer.

The website is for disabled people who employ PAs however they are funded - it is NOT just for disabled people who are receiving Direct Payments or Individual Budgets from the local authority.

ILA is an organisation of disabled people providing a comprehensive range of personal assistance services. ILA aims to enable people who need personal assistance, to be able to live independently in the community and take full control of their lives and thereby have individuality and spontaneity. ILA provides personal assistance either by providing personal assistants or by enabling individuals to employ their own personal assistants. ILA establishes the necessary personal assistance as a direct part of an individual's life to enable disabled people to have direct control over their own lives.

What Is The National Brokerage Network?

  • The National Brokerage Network (NBN) is a 'Network' of Networks' that has been set up to act as an information exchange and an authorative voice for the development of Brokerage throughout the UK.
  • It aims to represent the views and interests of the diverse support broker movement with key politicians and policy makers.
  • It hopes to build and grow an authoritative body to provide strong leadership, drive and guidance in development of Brokerage.

Peninsula

These Employment Law services support disabled employers, through providing advice on how to deal with disciplinary and grievance procedures and will work with the employer in cases of tribunal. This is a service well worth having as it removes much of the stress at these times. This service can be added to FISH insurance, but you may need to pay the difference.
